Samsung Shout-out Contest

Samsung and F&H are encouraging Filipino College students to express themselves through this contest wherein great prizes awaits to the best shoutout.

Contest Requirements:

• Filipino College students, 15-25 years old, currently enrolled for the school year 2009-2010 in any Metro Manila university
  

Contest Mechanics:

2. Post a create a creative shout-out, in English or Filipino, for any of the following categories:
• TALK - A Shout-Out that expresses emotions, ideas, thoughts, dreams, hopes, and ambitions
• PLAY - A Shout-Out that expresses how life is experienced through love of music, sports, fashion, and the arts
• LOVE - A Shout-Out that expresses how bonds are formed with family and friends through shared interests and passions
3. Format Guidelines
• Images should not exceed 300kb
  
• Videos should not exceed 15mb or 3 mins
4. Judging Criteria
• 40% Relevance to the category
• 40% Creativity
• 20% Online votes

My Wireless Broadband is very Terrible!!

This past few days, while the rain is pouring Metro Manila and some part of the country, I experienced the worst of my broadband.  It's understandable that because of heavy rain and clouds, the broadband signal is congested.  But today the sun already shown up and I'm still having a lot of trouble with my internet connection.

I relocated my antenna many times but I still receiving very slow connection.  I called their so called "24 hour call-in service", a computer answered me that they are having problems in some areas and a network restoration is currently being done.  So I expected the problem to be solved within 24 hours.

Time had passed and still my bandwidth can't even open the facebook website.  I've done a ping test and a traceroute, the result shows the problem is NOT within my facility nor my network.  I tried using the broadband router with my laptop, but still no good.  I called again and skipped the computer's explanation of the problem cause I want to talk to a technical representative but nobody picked up my call.

If only a DSL facility is available in our area, I wouldn't waste my P1,300 monthly service fee for a very weak service.  While I'm writing this post, I'm hoping the connection will not be cut-off again so I can post this without hassle.

I am a subscriber of Sun wireless broadband. they say sun has a slow connection in telecommunication (and i used to say that as well before) because i was a sun user back in high school.but not that long..

Well,Sun has broaden their range of selling products and targeting consumers as they are now offering an internet connection.

their internet connection is not that bad I think.. 

you know what,i tried applying at smartbro and globe tattoo.both of them told me that i could not use a webcam,skype,calling thru softphone etc.. that i could just enjoy a standard internet usage like browsing..

but in Sun Wireless Broadband,I can do those things! i can watch videos on youtube,download songs,download videos,use webcam like normal.... like what i used to during my SMARTBRO time...

i have just discovered not a long time ago that wired connection is much faster that wireless in terms of internet connection.

like smartbro,you know the big antenna thing that is placed on the roof of your house?? sun broadband does the same job.. though of course there would be times that the connection would come slow... just like any other internet connection...

but over all.. i could have enough satisfaction with Sun Wireless Broadband.

Safari

Hi! Bago ang lahat.  Ako nga pala si EJ na lang.  Sa pagba-blog kong ito, ayoko na sanang mag English kasi alam ko na ang lahat sa atin ay mas komportableng basahin ang isang "review" (kuntawagin) kapag ito ay nasa wikang Filipino haha!

But then i know that there would be some people who would visit this site from the other countries, so then I've decided to make an English review since I have friends who are not Filipinos.

The title of my post is Safari. Bet you thought it was Safari in Africa didn't you?  The picture that you see at the top of my blog is my desktop on my pc.  As you can see at the left side of my desktop is a Safari Browser with my Facebook account.  How many of you are using SAFARI browser?  What I like about this Safari is that you feel the comfortableness when browsing.  Well I don't know to others but me, i find it simple yet unique and it's kinda fast a little when you're browsing.  And for me the color is a perfect match for Google as homepage.

Adobe Photoshop CS4

I've been to photo editing for years now and I can say Adobe products is much easier to learn compared to others. I explored Adobe Photoshop by myself. And with the help of other geeks in the internet I learned a lot in using the product.

Internet Connection

isang taon na pala ako mahigit sa Globelines Broadband pero sa loob ng mahigit isang taon di man lang ako nakaranas ng mabilis na connection. ang sabi nila depende sa lugar, pero sa tingin ko sadyang mabagal lang talaga ang internet nila.

bago ako nag globe isang taon din muna ako sa Smart Bro. nung una maganda at mabilis ang connection. pero pagkatapos ng bagyong milenyo nasira na. bumagsak yung antenna ng smartbro namin at natagalan bago naitayong muli. kaso di na naging maayos ang connection nila kahit ilang beses pang balik-balikan ng technical team ang lugar namin para ayusin. depende rin daw kasi sa lugar at sakop ng cellsite nila.

pang-anim na beses na rin akong nag-apply sa PLDT DSL. pagkatapos ko mag-apply hintayin lang daw ang tawag kung kailan makakabitan. ang problema kailangan kada apat na buwan mag-apply ulit kapag hindi nakabitan. ang dahilan daw kung bakit di ako makabitan ng linya ay wala daw available "port". ginawa naman nilang tanga ang mga nag-aapply sa kanila galing dito sa lugar namin.

kailan kaya matatapos ang problema ko sa internet connection. sa ngayon hinihintay ko naman ang tawag ng SKY Broadband kung available na sila sa lugar namin.
